Baltman - Modern menswear in the spotlight

Baltman, the main player in Baltic suit business was looking for a new lighting solution for their shop at Rocca-Al-Mare shopping centre in Tallinn. Lighting company delivered a lighting solution inspired by a modern tailor’s studio with influences from former times.

Project

Baltman is an international fashion brand and has been in the Baltika Group’s brand portfolio since 1991. It is a prestigious brand offering menswear on the Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian market, in a total of 12 stores.

The brands target group consists of conscious men who want a sophisticated look for everyday work, business trips or evening events.  Baltman offer stylish, classic and high-quality business wear and have a strong heritage and knowhow of manufacturing suits and coats in fabrics following the latest fashion trends.

The newest shop at Rocca-Al-Mare shopping centre in Tallinn received a new lighting solution that intensified the feeling of the exclusive brand.

Solution

The lighting solution is inspired by a modern tailor’s studio. It’s very important that the lighting and the architecture harmonize to create a successful atmosphere. By working with authentic materials, natural light and a combination of different luminaires an exciting solution was achieved.

The solution illuminates the items with energy efficient LED spotlights, recessed lighting and efficient T5 fluorescent lamps. By choosing LED luminaries, the shop has at least 50,000 maintenance-free hours and a superior lighting solution with the lowest environmental impact.

When you walk trough the entrance your attention is drawn to the table in the middle of the shop. The table is styled with the latest fashion and accessories and is highlighted with black track mounted Marathon LED spotlight. The shop’s clean look is enhanced with light from large industrial inspired luminaires and concrete floors that give softer shadows and contrasts.

“Baltman concept is inspired by a modern tailor’s studio, where authenticity with materials and right atmosphere is very important. The feeling of the light of day coming in through the tall windows of the old factory floor slowly gets substituted by the glow of big lamps emphasizing the contemporary atmosphere – this was archived by Fagerhult lighting solutions. We are glad to have a professional partner who understands the need and works for the best result”, Pedro Castro, Head of retail space design, says.
