Innovative LED lighting brings savings in factory ŽOS Trnava a.s.
At the end of last year, partial upgrading of lighting took place at the facility of ZOS Trnava in Slovakia. State-of-art Industrial LED lamps replaced the previously used inefficient HID lighting.

Specially designed LED solution
LED lamps have been specifically designed for demanding operating environments that are characterized by high ambient temperatures - up to 40 degrees Celsius. Therefore the extended cooling system of the new LED lights will achieve even after 70,000 hours of lighting more than 80% lumen output.
The modernization for the original 250W and 400W metal halide lamps were made in two manufacturing plants. Modern and efficient LED lighting - Ecologic Industry Line was specially designed and installed on the average performance of 200W, which was custom-made in Slovakia.
Savings achieved more than 33,000 euros per year
Upgraded lighting system now significantly increased the intensity and quality of illumination for visual tasks in manufacturing and achieves the standard prescribed average illuminance of 500 lux. Electricity consumption decreased despite an increase in light intensity by 50% against the original lighting system, which represents a saving of almost 31,000 Euros per year! Additionally, during each year, the new system will save more than 2,300 euros allocated for maintenance.
Thanks to ecological LED technology, the lights reduces impact on the environment, annually by more than 244.000 kg of CO2 emissions.
Financing of project from the savings
One of the main benefits of the project is the funding mechanism of whole investment from the savings. Complete solution, including refinancing was made by the company ECO-LOGIC (www.ecologic.sk), which is a specialist in LED lighting and on the Slovak market offers a unique opportunity to repay the investment through its own program ecoFinance.
The company ZOS Trnava got comfortable solution, which ever is not borne its budget, but still can take the most advanced type of LED lighting, which is repaid from the savings.
