Light for movement and atmosphere: design and supply of lighting for the Sketon Modra skatepark
When designing the lighting for the Sketon Modra skatepark, the goal was to create a solution that would be functional, visually clean and naturally fit into the character of the public space. The lighting of such a sports venue must reliably support safe movement, good orientation in the space and comfortable use of the area even after dark, but at the same time must not appear distracting or technical.
Light for movement and atmosphere: design and supply of lighting for the Sketon Modra skatepark
This collaboration brought continuity between design and implementation. When lighting a sports venue such as a skatepark, it is important not only to meet the technical requirements for lighting the space, but also to respond sensitively to its architectural character and method of use. Riders need to read the space well, perceive individual elements, edges, slopes and transitions, while the light should support safety, orientation and overall user comfort.
The designed and delivered technology used elegant aluminum poles in graphite color, which suitably complement the current character of the area and do not appear distracting in the public space. Their visually clean solution supports the overall architecture of the place and at the same time meets the requirements for durability and long-term operation.
The delivery also included energy-saving LED park lights from Signify, which provide a reliable and energy-efficient lighting solution. The choice of technology took into account the need for high-quality lighting comfort, reasonable operational efficiency and long-term sustainability in everyday use of the area.
It is important that the ECOLOGIC company did not act as a contractor for the construction part of the skatepark, but as a professional partner in the field of lighting. Its role was to prepare the lighting solution and subsequently deliver the designed technology to the implementation team. Thanks to this, it was possible to maintain professional continuity between the project and its technical implementation without erasing the individual competencies of the project participants.
The Sketon Modra skatepark project thus demonstrates the benefits of collaboration, in which a specialized partner covers lighting from design preparation to delivery of technology for implementation. The result is a functional, economical and visually refined solution that supports safe and comfortable use of the area even in the evening.
